I tested my new camera today, and I absolutely love it! The dark days of taking pictures on my iphone are officially over. I love the change and clarity. I'm honestly starting to obsess over my Nikon J1 compact camera. I have two interchangeable lenses for endless fascination.

I'm glad today was a sunny and easygoing day. But knowing my home town very well, I know that the weather will turn soon. If only all days could be like today.

My New Friend.

I recently treated myself to my long anticipated new camera!

Although I originally wanted a DSLR, I'm glad that I got a compact system camera. The Nikon J1 works like a charm, and I will be using my new friend for my upcoming posts.

Take me to Fashion District.

I'm instantly happy whenever I get the opportunity to visit fashion district in LA. 

I love looking into boutiques to see their styles, and then buying heaps of fabric. During this trip I got over 31ft of fabric!! I'm so excited to work with my patterns to make clothes for this spring. I already have a few designs I'd love to make.

Right now I'm loving plum patterns! I want to incorporate these fun prints into my wardrobe as soon as possible, these materials feel so nice haha. The prints are for everyday wear, but the white fabric is reserved for a special project ;)

I can't wait to begin sewing!!

I've been wearing my shades a lot lately. They instantly make me feel cool, and as long as I feel cool I don't care if I look like a dork haha. Today I wore a tank that I made last weekend, and a diy skirt I made this morning by tucking in the fabric edges into my spanx. I was feeling very inventive and decided to pose with various of accessories that I keep in my car for fun.

Today was very awkward. I never particularly liked Valentine's day. 

On the bright side, Vday chocolates go on say tomorrow!
